Why work with Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) Wales?
AmniTec is committed to remaining in South Wales, and aims to expand and refurbish its Merthyr Tydfil-based plant.
Following a period of instability, the new management team is determined to grow the business, and exploit new markets.
One of the key factors in taking the business from strength to strength is to forge a strong partnership with the workforce, and great effort has been directed at creating an inclusive environment.
With support from MAS Wales the company has:
- Seen a 50% improvement in productivity in the Vibrating & Gas Area
- Developed an effective operational strategyLaunched KPIs to improve overall performance within the organisation
- Identified new areas of opportunity
- Improved plant layout
- Achieved a better environmental profile - energy savings of 20% have been made, and the company uses only water-based chemicals in its production processes
“MAS Wales has provided us with a roadmap to future growth,” said Mark Goldby. “Given the expertise we have here at the plant, we have the potential to double our business in a 5-10-year timeframe.”
“MAS Wales is helping us to unleash that potential, and translate it into business growth and enhanced profits.”
Benefits of working with MAS & FDM-UK
“MAS and FDM-UK has helped us create a sustainable platform for bringing about business growth,” said Mark Goldby. “Certainly, we were working on improvements within the company, but MAS Wales has accelerated the process, placing us in a far better position to compete and develop.”
“With MAS support we are creating a sophisticated 21st century plant, one that will impress our clients when they visit us,” he added.
Paul Byard, MAS Wales chief executive commented:
“Our specialists such as FDM-UK are all recruited from industry, and can therefore offer pertinent advice to the companies they work with. In the case of AmniTec we have helped the company to significantly improve its productivity, a key component in the company’s growth plans.”
“Furthermore, the changes we have helped implement are sustainable, long-term developments that underpin the business and secure its future.”
