FDM UK: History
John Evans & Associates
The company was formed back in 1963 and was known as John Evans & Associates. Industrial Engineers and Work Study Engineers in the 60’s 70’s 80’s and since, would have been trained at the John Evans training school in all the work measurement and method study techniques.
In addition, contract work study and industrial engineers were provided to industry and commerce to establish time standards for labour cost control and incentives.
At the height of the contract work study business some 400 engineers were working on assignments weekly.
Inbucon
John Evans & Associates acquired by Inbucon consulting group, Inbucon had a reputation throughout the world for their management consulting expertise.
P.E. Inbucon
Inbucon merged with PE and became the 3rd largest management consultancy not tied to a financial/accountancy organisation. Both, organisation were formed in the 1930’s.
P.E.International
Company changed name.
Lorien
Lorien acquired PE International for the IT consultancy business, which was going to compliment their existing services.
In 1999 Lorien decided to limit the range of services they provided, and to concentrate on the IT side of the business. As a result of this a number of specialised divisions were separated from Lorien by a number of Management buyouts, Technical services being one of these.
Forrest Davies Mckenzie & Associates Ltd (FDM-UK / FDM UK)
Now provide the services previously offered by Lorien in the area of Manufacturing, Production Engineering and Productivity Improvement. The current Directors of FDM-UK have been involved with the organisation for some 30 years.
