PRODUCTIVITY IMPROVEMENT
Productivity improvement is measured against a reference period, e.g. 4-12 weeks prior to commencement of any project and is measured in a number of ways:
- Increased Output
- Reduction in labour hours
- Reduction in manpower
- Space saving
- Reduction in the number of shifts
- Reduction or elimination of overtime
The savings could be a combination of the above criteria, with the results being a reduction in unit labour cost and an increase in parts per man hour (PPMH).
