Training

A number of training courses are run on a regular basis and include:

Time Study

This course is for not only engineers that need the Industrial Engineering skills of Time Study, but also team leaders to become proficient in running and rebalancing their sections as volumes and methods change.

Predetermined Motion Time Systems (PMTS)

Predetermined Motion Time Study form one of the main divisions of Work Measurement, the system also provides the Industrial Engineer with a very powerful tool for methods and workplace improvement. A wide variety of systems have been developed, some being general systems with a universal application and some that have been developed for and only used in specific work areas.

The training techniques vary from MTM-1, MTM-2 to Core-Data etc

MODAPTS

This is also a derivative of PMTS, developed in Australia and used exclusively by Fords in the USA and their first tier suppliers also in the UK.

We have the only instructor based in Europe that carries out this training.

MTM-UAS System

MTM-UAS (Universal Analysis System) is a two level system designed for analysis of low to medium volume assembly work. The base level system (UAS1) is a third level system consisting of combinations of basic MTM motions. The second level (UAS2) made up of over data blocks of commonly occurring industrial assembly tasks.

The data is suited to evaluating the method actually performed by the operator and is independent of the type of work, workplace layout and equipment.

Six Sigma

Six Sigma teams and notably Six Sigma team leaders ('Black Belts') use a vast array of tools at each stage of Six Sigma implementation to define, measure, analyse and control variation in process quality, and to manage people, teams and communications. Many of the tools and techniques used are Industrial Engineering Techniques by another name.
